Tavannie’s educational background includes Bronx Community College, The City College of New York, and Bernard M. Baruch College.

Tavannie’s passion includes giving back to the community through internship and mentorship. As of 2018 Tavannie has mentored 10 high school and college young professionals from underrepresented groups, who may face additional barriers to success. Tavannie has served on the Board of Innovation Charter High School as a trustee and committee member since 2020. During Tavannie’s tenure, with the help of colleagues, friends and family, she has raised over 10K in funds to support students of Innovations in their social and educational experiences, such as prom, college, and regent examinations, and more.
